Contemporary Impressionist Artist

Hi there! Welcome to my website - I'm Kim Doherty.

I've been painting professionally for the last sixteen years and am excited to share my work with you!  I really enjoy capturing the beauty of the California coast, as well as many of our family's favorite places: San Diego, Orange County, Lake Tahoe, Big Sur, Paso Robles and France. In addition to landscapes, I also love painting floral still lifes. Many of my smaller paintings are done on location where I can directly observe from nature. If I like the end result, these field paintings can then be translated into larger studio paintings.
